Supporting your skin’s renewal capacity for firmer, more hydrated skin
What is Rejuran injection?
Rejuran injection is an injectable treatment whose active ingredient is salmon-derived polynucleotide (PN), designed to support the skin’s natural renewal capacity. By injecting it directly into the dermis, the treatment is reported to act on fibroblasts and may help support collagen and elastin production.
The treatment targets a range of complex skin concerns, including fine lines around the eyes, loss of firmness and elasticity, enlarged pores, and acne scars. At our clinic, we choose between three different polynucleotide products tailored to your specific concerns and treatment area.
*All polynucleotide products used at our clinic are non-Japanese-approved medications obtained via personal-import by the physician. For details, please refer to the “Self-pay treatment / drug information” disclosure at the bottom of this page.

・Those seeking a natural-looking improvement in skin quality
FEATURE
Three products to address diverse concerns
Our clinic carries three polynucleotide products: “Rejuran i,” “Rejuran Healer,” and “VITARAN.” We propose the right product and injection method based on your area of concern and depth.
Suitable for delicate areas like the eyes
For fine lines and dryness around the eyes—where hyaluronic acid filler is difficult to use—Rejuran i (the eye-area formulation) offers an alternative approach. Please consult us for under-eye concerns that concealer cannot cover.
Treatable on a wide range of areas
In addition to the face, the treatment can be used on areas where signs of aging tend to appear, such as the neck and the back of the hands. We welcome consultations from those considering total anti-aging care alongside facial treatment.
Pain-conscious manual injection by a physician
We use topical numbing cream and ultra-fine needles, with the physician carefully injecting by hand to keep pain to a minimum. Depending on the area, we may also use ice packs for cooling.
Relatively short downtime
Redness, swelling, and bruising may occur after injection but typically become inconspicuous within 1–3 days. Makeup is possible from the next day, making this a treatment that may suit busy patients.
PRODUCTS — About the products we use
Our clinic uses three polynucleotide products, selected based on your concerns and treatment area.
| Product | Characteristics | Main areas / concerns |
|---|---|---|
| Rejuran i | Formulated for delicate areas such as the eyes | Fine lines, dryness, and concerns concealer cannot cover around the eyes |
| Rejuran Healer | Formulated for overall facial skin-quality care | Firmness and elasticity care for cheeks, forehead, mouth area, and the entire face |
| VITARAN | A formulation combining polynucleotide with hyaluronic acid | For those who also want some volume effect; complex care |
*All are non-Japanese-approved medications. For details, please refer to the “Self-pay treatment / drug information” disclosure at the bottom of this page.
Important notes (risks, side effects, downtime)
| Treatment time | Approx. 15–30 minutes (varies by area and volume) |
|---|---|
| Pain | We use topical numbing cream to keep pain to a minimum. You may feel a stinging sensation during injection. |
| Downtime | Redness, swelling, and bruising may occur, but typically become inconspicuous within 1–3 days. Needle marks may be visible immediately after injection. |
| Makeup | Possible from the next day. Please avoid rubbing the injection area. |
| Precautions | Showering is allowed on the same day, but bathing, sauna, and vigorous exercise should wait until the next day. We recommend avoiding excessive alcohol and salt for one week after treatment. |
| Side effects | Redness, swelling, bruising, pain, lumps, needle marks, infection, allergic reactions, asymmetry, and uneven results at the injection site. Because the active ingredient is salmon-derived, those with salmon or seafood allergies may be at increased risk. |
| Recommended sessions | 3–5 sessions at 3–4 week intervals are recommended. Maintenance every 3–6 months thereafter is suggested. |
| Those who cannot receive treatment | Pregnant or breastfeeding women, those with salmon or seafood allergies, those with a history of hypersensitivity to polynucleotide products, those with infection or inflammation at the injection site, those prone to keloids, those with autoimmune diseases, those on anticoagulants, minors, etc. |
*The above is the typical course; pain, downtime, and effects vary by individual.
*Treatment time does not include consultation and physician examination.
*Please disclose any medical history, allergies, or current medications during consultation.
FLOW — Treatment process
We listen to your concerns and treatment area, and the physician examines your skin condition. We propose a product from among the three options that matches you best. We also confirm your allergies and medical history at this time.

After cleansing the injection area, we apply topical numbing cream. We wait approximately 20–30 minutes for the anesthetic to take effect.
Using ultra-fine needles, the physician carefully injects the product by hand into the treatment area. We check in with you throughout to ensure your comfort.

We cool the injection area with ice packs to minimize swelling. We explain aftercare precautions and discuss your next session. A typical course is 3–5 sessions at 3–4 week intervals.
Physician’s comment
About Rejuran injection
Rejuran is an injectable treatment whose active ingredient is salmon-testis-derived polynucleotide (PN). Rather than “filling in volume” like hyaluronic acid filler, it is a treatment designed to support the skin’s own renewal capacity and care for skin quality from the inside.
Fine lines and dryness around the eyes are particularly delicate areas where hyaluronic acid filler is difficult to use. Rejuran i, developed for the eye area, is sometimes consulted for under-eye concerns concealer cannot cover. We frequently see consultations from patients who say “my under-eye area looks tired” or “I’m concerned about dryness lines.”
For overall facial firmness and elasticity care, we use Rejuran Healer, and for those who also want some volume effect, VITARAN (a polynucleotide and hyaluronic acid combination) is selected based on the patient’s concerns. Although results vary by individual, as a treatment that supports the skin’s self-renewal, 3–5 sessions at 3–4 week intervals is generally recommended.
Because the active ingredient is salmon-derived, allergic reactions may occur in very rare cases. If you have salmon or seafood allergies, please tell us during consultation. Note that all polynucleotide products used at our clinic are non-Japanese-approved medications. We provide thorough explanations so that you can fully understand the risks and benefits before deciding to receive treatment.
Together Menu — Recommended combinations
Treatments that pair well with Rejuran injection include Juvelook (PDLLA) and Dermapen. For deeper wrinkles or structural-level volume restoration, combination with hyaluronic acid filler is also possible.
Q&A (Frequently Asked Questions)
- When can I expect to feel results?
-
Results vary by individual. Because Rejuran is a treatment that supports the skin’s own renewal, 3–5 sessions at 3–4 week intervals is generally recommended, with overall skin texture changes being more noticeable as treatment progresses.
- How is the choice between the three products made?
-
The product is selected based on the area and depth of your concern. Rejuran i is suited to delicate areas like the eyes, Rejuran Healer to overall facial skin-quality care, and VITARAN (with hyaluronic acid) when some volume effect is also desired. The physician will recommend the right option during your consultation.
- What’s the difference between this and Juvelook?
-
The active ingredients differ. Juvelook contains PDLLA (poly-L-lactic acid) and is designed for both skin-quality care and volume support. Rejuran contains salmon-derived polynucleotide (PN) and is designed to support the skin’s self-renewal. The two can also be combined; we propose use or combinations based on your concerns.
- What’s the difference between this and hyaluronic acid filler?
-
Hyaluronic acid filler “fills in volume” to plump deep wrinkles and depressions. Rejuran “supports the skin’s renewal capacity” to care for the skin’s own firmness and elasticity. We commonly recommend hyaluronic acid for deep wrinkles and Rejuran for skin-quality care.
- I have a salmon allergy—can I receive treatment?
-
Patients with salmon or seafood allergies may be at increased risk with Rejuran injection, so we generally ask such patients to refrain from treatment. Please disclose any allergy history during consultation.
- Does it hurt?
-
We use topical numbing cream and ultra-fine needles, with the physician carefully injecting by hand to keep pain to a minimum. You may feel a stinging sensation during injection.
- How long is the downtime?
-
Redness, swelling, and bruising may occur but typically become inconspicuous within 1–3 days. Needle marks may be visible immediately after injection, but makeup is possible from the next day.
- Can I wear makeup right after treatment?
-
Makeup is possible from the next day. Please avoid rubbing the injection area. Concealer can usually cover any visible needle marks.
- Can it be combined with other treatments?
-
It can be combined with Botox, hyaluronic acid filler, and Juvelook on the same day or close in scheduling. Combination with Dermapen is also possible. Please discuss during consultation.
- Can I receive treatment while pregnant or breastfeeding?
-
Because safety has not been established, we ask pregnant and breastfeeding patients to refrain from treatment.
- Can men receive treatment?
-
Yes, we welcome male patients. We can also address male-specific skin concerns (pores, acne scars, tired-looking eyes, etc.). Please feel free to visit us.
